- Sean is dumb " vista: So Vista was displaying my first icon file, even though it didn?t exist anymore. It was as if it wasn?t looking at my icon for the .exe, and instead looking somewhere else! That sounded like a cache to me so I searched for ?vista icon cache? and sure enough Vista caches icons. I followed the directions here and my new icons revealed themselves!
